Pre-Flight

For your overall safety we ask that read some of our guidelines that you should know before you fly with us in our balloon.

What to wear?

We require that you wear comfortable closed toe outdoor shoes (running or tennis shoes) for the safety of yourself and the other passengers. We also suggest that you wear long pants. We always know that the field will be cut at the field we launch from, however we do not know if the field will be cut that we land in at the conclusion of the flight. We do not require you wear long pants, however we highly suggest that you do wear them.

Should I wear something warm?

Generally if you are comfortable on the ground you will be comfortable in the air because the temperature only changes about 3 degrees per 1000 feet. We suggest that you dress in layers.

Can I fly if I have health problems?

Please consult your doctor before flying in a hot air balloon if you have any medical conditions. If you have any medical condition that would prevent you from standing for an hour, lifting any heavy items, or any condition that would be compromised from any sort of impact with the ground please let the pilot know well in advance of the flight. As a part of the ballooning experience you may be asked to assist with set up, packing up, loading and unloading (possibly heavy lifting). As a part of the flight you will most likely be involved in the whole balloon experience including being an active crew member. If you have a problem with this please let the pilot know well in advance via e-mail.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation Policy: We kindly ask that if for any reason you need to cancel that you do so five days (120 hours) in advance. If cancellation is made within five days of the flight a $50 fee per person will be assessed. You deposit will also be forfeited if you are fifteen minutes late to our meeting spot as it is important to launch the balloon close to the meeting time. You will not be charged any fee if the flight is canceled by the pilot for safety reasons.

What if the flight is cancelled due to weather conditions?

You can pick the next available date. You will not be charged in anyway if the flight is cancelled by the pilot for safety reasons. The determination of safe flight conditions are made by the pilot.

Are there bathroom facilities at the launch and landing sites?

Our meeting, launch, and landing locations vary on every flight depending upon conditions. Please use restroom facilities before meeting as there are no bathroom facilities at the meeting, launch, or landing locations.

When do we drink the champagne?

We do a champagne toast at the end of the flight. Not during or before the flight for safety reasons. If the pilot or any crewmember believes that a passenger is under the influence of alcohol we reserve the right to not allow you on or in the balloon. This is for the safety of all passengers on board. If you or anyone in your party has consumed any alcoholic beverage before or during the flight the passenger and/or the group will forfeit their deposit.

You are more than welcome to have friends and family come out to watch you take off in your adventure of a life time and don’t forget to bring your camera!

Also we have an attachment for a waiver that we need you to read fully and complete. Click here for the Adult Waiver or here for the Juvenile Waiver.
